Defense Complex 4:
Instrumental in this protection is Defense Complex 4, which effectively fights four stages of free radical damage that lead to the visible signs of premature aging while providing up to 10 hours of continuous antioxidant protection. The four stages of free radical damage are:

• Stage 1: Super Oxide radical, which attacks enzymes
• Stage 2: Hydrogen Peroxide, which attacks skin's firmness and elasticity
• Stage 3: Hydroxyl radical, which attacks lipids
• Stage 4: Nitric Oxide, which causes cross-linking

SPF 15 UVA/UVB Protection:
For day-long protection against sun damage which can cause premature aging, broad spectrum SPF 15 UVA/UVB sunscreen provides a powerful defense. Light energy depends on its wavelength. The smaller the wavelength, the greater the energy, and the greater the energy the more the potential damage. UV light is usually broken down into two subtypes: UVA (320-400 nm wavelengths), UVB (290-320 nm wavelengths). UVB and UVA penetrate through the air and clouds, which is why you can still get sunburned when it is overcast. Sunscreens work by preventing some of the UV light reaching your skin. Compounds known as chemical sunscreens absorb the UV light, with different chemicals working at different wavelengths.

Among its key ingredients are:

• Octinoxate Chemically known as Octyl methoxycinnamate. A sunscreen agent (ultraviolet light absorber) that protects skin primarily from the sun's UVB rays, the rays responsible for sunburns.
• Avobenzene Chemicaly known as butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane. A sunscreen agent (ultraviolet light absorber) that protects skin primarily from the sun's UVA rays, the wavelengths that damage the skin. Even at low-level exposures, UVA light erodes the skin's support structure, breaking down collagen, causing wrinkles & sagging. Scientists have found that UVA penetrates deep into the underlying support structure of the skin and is the responsible for most deadly melanomas.

Aura of Protection: Even the most effective sunscreens and antioxidants cannot completely stop free radical activity from occurring within the skin. Our patent-pending Aura of Protection creates an actual, invisible barrier that floats above the skin's surface, acting as a "personal antioxidant atmosphere" to protect from and neutralize free radicals. The active ingredients in the Aura of Protection safeguard skin with this new and advanced method. It works as the perfect complement to Defense Complex 4 and literally adds a whole new layer of protection to the skin

Among its the key ingredients are:

• Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Oil (Lemongrass) a rapidly evaporating fragrance ingredient that provides antioxidant free radical scavenging ability. As long the fragrance is noticeable, the protection remains.
• Ethyl Vanillin a white crystalline compound that has a more intense odor than vanilla. It is used as a fragrance ingredient, providing free radical scavenging ability. As long as the fragrance is noticeable, the free radical protection continues.
